By Marvel has finished revealing the full cast list for “Avengers: Doomsday” as part of a live-stream ahead of the film kicking off production.
The video, which ran for a total of five-and-a-half hours, just ended. It began with a glimpse of a chair with Chris Hemsworth’s name on it before panning over to another chair with Vanessa Kirby’s name and has continued ever since with slow additions every few minutes – culminating with Robert Downey Jr. making a brief appearance.
The list confirms the return of multiple major MCU talent that’s still alive in the continuity, along with plenty of “X-Men” actors as well and the new “Fantastic Four” and “Thunderbolts” teams.
Notably not included here are variants or characters who’ve either died or left – namely no Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers or Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch.
In addition, there are some big existing MCU character absences including Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Don Cheadle’s War Machine, Paul Bettany’s Vision, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and more.
