Peacock is looking at making a Friday the 13th series. This will be a prequel to the original movie, which came out in 1980. It was one of the ‘camp horrors’, which isn’t a thing, but you know what I mean.
A group of teenagers, who are usually horny, get murdered by someone at camp. This is why we don’t have summer camps in the UK, we don’t really have summer either.
The prequel to Friday the 13th, entitled Crystal Lake, will follow the tragic events that led up to the murders at the lake summer camp in 1980.
Linda Cardellini has been cast as Pamela Voorhees, mother to Jason. Jason became known for his hockey mask and big chopper, but that was later in the franchise though, it was his mum that started it all.
Fans of the series know that Jason drowned in the lake and his mother blamed the camp counsellors. She took her revenge on the likes of Kevin Bacon, Harry Crosby, Adrienne King and Laurie Bartman.
There is no news when this Friday the 13th prequel will be on Peacock, but we want to see a little Jason running around in a hockey mask. It’ll be cute.
