Everyone’s favorite mischievous little alien gets a live-action treatment as Walt Disney Studios releases the official trailer for their upcoming film Lilo & Stitch. View trailer below.
The film tells the story of “the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction. Pursuing aliens, social workers and the idea of the bond of family figure into the proceedings.
I was wondering when the first “official” trailer for this movie was going to be released. I know that they (Disney) released a few teaser trailers for this upcoming film, but I didn’t post them on my blog (totally forgot to do that). Anyways, this new trailer finally showcases a lot of footage from the movie, including the infamous wacky and destructive Stitch and the young and quirky Lilo. It definitely does feel like the original film, which does have its merits, yet, given the track record of Disney’s live-action remakes, might produce problematic criticisms. I do have to say that I am more excited to see this movie than the new Snow White remake from Disney, which can be seeing as both a good and bad thing (depending on how you look at it). In the end, I am looking forward to seeing what this new iteration of Lilo & Stitch. Will it be good? Only time will tell….
