Director Gareth Evans reassured fans that the film’s delay was worth it, thanks to additional shooting that enhanced its intensity. “It allowed me to streamline the story and deliver what it was always meant to be – a relentless, fast-paced action thriller, packed with nods to the Hong Kong cinema that shaped my love for filmmaking,” Evans told Empire.
