Former James Bond star Daniel Craig reportedly has an official offer to join the cast of Greta Gerwig’s new “The Chronicles of Narnia” movie at Netflix. Filming on that begins later this year.
Deadline broke the news, their sources indicating it’s not clear if Craig will ultimately come on board, but they confirm “he does hold the offer”.
Specifics of what role he might play are under wraps, though could be a number of roles ranging from Professor Digory Kirke to the voice of Aslan.
He marks the second potential piece of casting for the project following reports that pop star Charli XCX is in talks for the role of the White Witch Jadis.
Craig has already been doing work with Netflix, namely the “Knives Out” sequels with the third film “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” due out later this year.
Gerwig’s “The Chronicles of Narnia” is set for an IMAX-exclusive theatrical release Thanksgiving 2026 ahead of a Christmas 2026 premiere on Netflix.
