Paramount Pictures has unveiled the final trailer for the action comedy “Novocaine” starring “The Boys,” “Scream” and “Star Trek: Lower Decks” star Jack Quaid.

The film recently played at SXSW and with 22 reviews counted it’s currently at 88% (6.9/10) on Rotten Tomatoes.

Quaid plays Nathan Caine, a man born with the rare disorder CIPA (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain) which means he can’t feel physical pain.

Caine grew up a sheltered child, learning to blend food so he would not unwittingly chew off his own tongue and to wear a timer to remind himself when to go to the bathroom.

When the bank he works at is robbed and his new love taken hostage, his affliction becomes his greatest strength as he sets out to rescue her.

Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, Lou Beatty Jr., Van Hengst, Conrad Kemp, and Jacob Batalon co-star.

The project was penned by Lars Jacobson and directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen (“Villains”). Drew Simon, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Matt Schwartz, Josh Adler and Julian Rosenberg produce.

“Novocaine” opens in cinemas Friday.
