Marvel Studios’ “Daredevil: Born Again” had a strong launch on the Disney+ streaming service.

The series reportedly drew 7.5 million views in its first five days of availability on the streamer – the biggest streaming debut on the platform this year.

Like with Netflix, a view is defined as total stream time divided by runtime. To put it in comparison with other launches, “Agatha All Along” hit 9.3 million in its first seven days, while “Paradise” drew 7 million in its first nine days on Hulu.

Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal all return from the Netflix series.

They’re joined by Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, and Michael Gandolfini.

Reviews so far for the new season have been quite positive, though the nature of this first season – which involved heavy retooling and grafting of new scenes onto already shot episodes – has led to some having issues.

Dario Scardapane serves as the series showrunner and executive producer with a second season currently in production.
