Steve Carell (“The Morning Show”), Jason Schwartzman (“Asteroid City”), Ramy Youssef (“Ramy”) and Cory Michael Smith (“Gotham”) have joined “Succession” creator Jesse Armstrong’s untitled feature directorial debut.

The HBO original film follows a group of billionaire friends who get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis.

Filming begins this month in Park City, Utah and those involved are reportedly aiming to have it out this Spring, meaning a superfast turnaround of only a few weeks of post-production.

HBO executive Francesca Orsi says in a statement:

“We’re ecstatic to be back in business with the singular talent Jesse Armstrong coming off our fruitful collaboration on Succession. Jesse once again raises the bar with a bold examination of modern greed, power and male ambition.

That this feature serves as his directorial debut will only elevate what is already thrilling on the page, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this timely film with the world soon.”

Armstrong writes, directs and executive produces with Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod and Jill Footlick.

Armstrong won seven Emmy Awards for his work on “Successfion” including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
