HBO has premiered an official still offering a look at Steve Agee as the returning John Economos in the second season of “Peacemaker”. The character has appeared in the first season along with “The Suicide Squad” and “Creature Commandos”. The new season is expected to premiere in August. [Source: X]

MobLand
Guy Ritchie’s new series “MobLand” is shifting from a planned Showtime premiere to a Paramount+ bow with the series set to premiere on March 30th. Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, and Joanne Froggatt lead the cast centered around an Irish crime family that is based in London. Hardy plays the family’s ‘fixer’ with Brosnan and Mirren as the heads of the family. [Source: Paramount]

Barney
“The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri is set to write and is in talks to star in the “Barney” movie at A24, Mattel Films and Daniel Kaluuya’s 59% Productions. The project has been in development since 2019 and is based on the beloved purple T-Rex childhood TV character from the “Barney & Friends” series. Robbie Brenner will produce. [Source: THR]

Sgt. Rock
Jeremy Allen White reportedly won’t star in Luca Guadagnino’s “Sgt. Rock” film for DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures. Daniel Craig wa originally rumored for the part but dropped out of the running earlier this month.

The report at The InSneider today indicates White passed on the role with Sneider suggesting it was “because he didn’t want to be the second choice for his first major comic book movie role.” Justin Kuritzkes is penning the film which aims to shoot this Summer.

Disclosure
Steven Spielberg’s new UFO movie, going by the working title “Disclosure,” has begun production in New Jersey ahead of its planned June 12th 2026 theatrical release. Plot specifics are currently under wraps, but the film is said to be tonally akin to his older 1980s work (ala “Close Encounters”).

Emily Blunt, Wyatt Russell, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth and Eve Hewson star in the film which was penned by David Koepp. Photos of Blunt and Russell filming scenes are already online.
