Speculation is flying high this weekend following some photo postings and a report on a fan news site fueling talk of significant DC film and/or TV news in the near future.
It began two days ago when DC Studios co-chief James Gunn posted a photo of himself along with “Man of Steel” and “Justice League” director Zack Snyder, indicating the pair were catching up.
DC fans were quick to spot that the distinct wood panelling in the background indicated the meeting took place at the DC Studios offices going by other photos taken from staffers in the office over the past few months.
Gunn also posted a ‘cameo cover’ of the new “Superman Unlimited” #1 comic issue hitting in May which sees himself and David Corenswet’s Superman posting together on the comic cover.
Then things kicked into overdrive when ComicBookMovie.com reported that a private press event was held at DC Studios on Friday and “some big DCU-related news is reportedly set to hit the net next week… possibly even Monday”.
That’s immediately led to guesses of future film or TV announcements and that Snyder may be involved in one. So far, Warners is staying quiet and the report has been met with plenty of serious scepticism.
Long time scooper MyTimetoShineH also indicated that some big DCU news was coming next week before seemingly walking it back saying “Hmmmm, nevermind” and then adding “no news from the event today”. Either way, we’ll find out next week – in the meantime check out the photo and art below.
Always a pleasure catching up with my friend @ZackSnyder, consummate filmmaker (and a doubly consummate storyteller!) pic.twitter.com/kkl1qZtNup

Bowled over to see this “cameo cover” of the new @Superman Unlimited #1. @Danmora_c adeptly captured my laptop stickers and piercing model gaze. You can pick up this very special edition at your local comic shop May 21st. @DanSlott pic.twitter.com/OPfrESprD5
