Lionsgate has announced a January 9th 2026 release date for the Jason Statham-led action thriller “Mutiny”.

Jean-François Richet (“Plane”) directs the film which follows Cole Reed (Statham), who, after seeing his billionaire industrialist boss murdered in front of him, is set up to take the fall for the crime.

He then goes on the run as he works to uncover an international conspiracy. Danish actor Roland Møller (“Citadel”) plays the villain while Annabelle Wallis, Lee Charles, Jason Wong, Ben Cartwright, Adrian Lester and Arnas Fedaravicius co-star.

The project has been written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis with production having just recently wrapped in the UK and Malta. Lionsgate is distributing in North America.

Statham and Marc Butan produce the movie via their Punch Palace Productions and MadRiver Pictures banners. The film will open the week after “M3GAN” spin-off “Soulm8te”.

Statham is coming off the surprise success of “The Beekeeper” which opened January last year to positive reviews and a $153 million worldwide gross against a $40 million budget.

He’ll be seen in cinemas next month in the David Ayer-directed action thriller “A Working Man” co-written by Sylvester Stallone and co-starring David Harbour, Michael Peña, and Jason Flemyng.
