Jon Xue Zhang (“The Brothers Sun”) has been cast as Ram-Man, along with former SNL alum Sasheer Zamata as Suzie and Christian Vunipola (“Queenpins”) as Hussein in the live-action “Masters of the Universe” film at Amazon MGM Studios, Escape Artists and Mattel Films.
Travis Knight directs the film that has begun production and is expected to be partially set on Earth before Prince Adam returns to Eternia.
Ram-Man is a warrior known for using his head as a battering ram with John Erwin and Danny Trejo having voiced him in the past. The other two appear to be new characters.
The film’s cast includes Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, and Jared Leto as Skeletor.
Also onboard are James Purefoy as Kind Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.
Knight is directing from a script by Chris Butler, David Callaham, Aaron Nee and Adam Nee.
