Eddie Murphy is set to star in the two-hander action comedy “Blue Falcon” which is in the works at Sony Pictures.
“London Has Fallen” scribe Chad St. John is penning the script for the film in which Murphy will play a retired superspy who heads for the destination wedding of his estranged son.
Unfortunately, in doing so, he finds himself in proximity with his archrival, and all manner of chaos ensues.
Murphy, John Davis, Cliff Roberts and Charisse Hewitt-Webster produce. John most recently scripted the just-finished filming Alan Ritchson-led “Motor City”.
Murphy most recently starred in Netflix’s “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F” and will shortly re-team with “Dreamgirls” director Bill Condon for a biopic about the life of Parliament Funkadelic founder George Clinton.
He’ll also reprise his role of Donkey for the upcoming “Shrek 5” due out Christmas 2026. No word as to when “Blue Falcon” will begin production as yet and no other stars or director is yet attached.
