By Daredevil: Born Again has had an interesting path to the screen. The Netflix show was some of the most effective live-action Marvel TV there has been, way ahead of Disney+ efforts.
It looked for a long time like that incarnation of Matt Murdock was dead and buried when the shows were pulled from Netflix.
Eventually, it was given new life on Disney+, with Daredevil confirming his place in the MCU. However shortly after this was confirmed, Marvel began its much-discussed quality slump.
This slammed the breaks on whatever they were planning with Daredevil and forced them to think again.
The show was paused and then completely retooled as Marvel seemed to take onboard that fans loved the old show, and maybe began to understand where they had been going wrong.
Daredevil: Born Again, in its new incarnation, is supposed to be the first real “course correction” from Marvel after the disaster of the post-Endgame phases and damp squibs like Eternals, or absolute horrors like She-Hulk.
And here is our first real look at the beginning of this “course correction” in the form of the full trailer:
Well, well, well. They promised they were not afraid to embrace the more grown-up tone and wouldn’t shy away from the inherent violence in doing this right. From the trailer, it seems they were as good as their word.
