More rumors have emerged regarding the two major Lucasfilm projects set to hit screens in 2026.

Both rumors have originated from scooper Kristian Harloff (via SFFGazette.com) who has made some claims. First, his sources indicate that “The Mandalorian & Grogu” movie will see the Kyuzo bounty hunter Embo serve as a major villain of the movie and a “pretty significant part of the plot”.

The movie will see Sigourney Weaver in an unknown role and “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White as a ‘buff’ Rotta the Hutt who is kidnapped. Reportedly, Din and Grogu are hired to rescue Rotta while Kyuzo is trying to track down and kill Rotta.

Dave Filoni voiced the Embo character who appeared in multiple episodes of the “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated series and is expected to do so again here. As of the time period of the Mandoverse shows, the character was now a farmer on the fungi jungle planet Felucia (briefly glimpsed in “Revenge of the Sith”).

The new report follows on from one that hit late Friday from the same scooper claiming that Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the second season of the “Ahsoka” TV series.

The report claims he will be joined by Hayden Christensen who has a “pretty big role” in the new episodes. Ariana Greenblatt is also expected to return as a young Ahsoka, suggesting more flashbacks set during the time of the Clone Wars.

Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsoka also encountered the Mortis Gods in the animated “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” series, statues of which were seen in the closing moments of the first season of “Ahsoka”.

Series creator Dave Filoni is writing the entire second season run which is expected to shoot later this year with more details likely to be revealed during the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan this April.
