Ecco the Dolphin
SEGA has reportedly filed new trademarks in Japan for the long dormant “Ecco the Dolphin” video game series which was released in 1992 for the Sega Mega Drive and hasn’t had a new entry since 2000.

The title would potentially appear to be joining the likes of other SEGA franchises like “Jet Set Radio,” “Streets of Rage,” “Golden Axe,” “Shinobi,” “Virtua Fighter” and “Crazy Taxi” which all have new entries in the works. [Source: Gematsu]

Marvel Zombies
Marvel Studios has finally announced a specific October 3rd 2025 premiere date for its “Marvel Zombies” animated series on Disney+. The four-episode series is set in an alternate reality and reimagines the MCU with a new generation of heroes battling an ever-spreading zombie scourge. Elizabeth Olsen, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, Iman Vellani, Awkwafina, Randall Park and more lend their voices. [Source: Disney]

Jesse Armstrong
“Succession” creator Jesse Armstrong has confirmed that his next project will be an HBO telemovie about the 2008 market crash. The script, currently still being written, will revolve around four friends who meet up during the turmoil of the international financial crisis. Armstrong previously landed a scripting Oscar nomination for co-writing 2009’s “In The Loop” with Armando Iannucci. [Source: Deadline]

The Substance
MUBI has announced a theatrical re-release for “The Substance” with the Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley-led body horror film returning to over 350 theaters nationwide from this coming Friday. The film originally debuted in cinemas on September 19th and became available to stream on October 31st. [Source: Indiewire]

28 Years Later
A new photo for Danny Boyle’s long-awaited “28 Years Later” is out showing a glimpse of Jodie Comer’s character, Isla who is the partner of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Jamie. The pair are raising their son Spike (Alfie Williams) in the film which opens in June.

Comer tells Empire that doing chase scenes for the film are intense: “The thing about our stunt performers playing the infected is they really don’t take the speed off for you. They chase you. There were so many moments where I felt like I was actually running for my life!”
