MUBI has released the trailer for the Ireland-shot thriller “Bring Them Down,” starring actors Barry Keoghan and Christopher Abbott.
The story follows Michael (Abbott), the last son of a shepherding family, who lives with his ailing father Ray (Colm Meaney). Burdened by a terrible secret, Michael has isolated himself from the world.
When a conflict with rival farmer Gary (Paul Ready) and his son Jack (Keoghan) escalates, Michael is drawn into a devastating chain of events, forcing him to confront the horrors of his past and leaving both families permanently altered.
Nora-Jane Noone and Susan Lynch co-star. Paul Mescal and Tom Burke were initially cast as the two lead roles before Keoghan and Abbott replaced them.
The project marks the debut feature of “Stalker” and “Fire” shorts filmmaker Chris Andrews. Ivana MacKinnon, Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde, Jacob Swan Hyam, Jean-Yves Roubin and Cassandre Warnauts produce.
“Bring Them Down” releases in U.S. cinemas on on February 7th.
