Searchlight’s “A Real Pain” will stream on Hulu on January 16th. The Jesse Eisenberg-directed film landed on PVOD via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home on New Year’s Eve and will hit Blu-ray on February 4th. [Source: Deadline]
Britney Spears Biopic
“Wicked” filmmaker Jon M. Chu has offered a brief update on how the Britney Spears biopic, based on her 2023 memoir “The Woman In Me,” is going at Universal Pictures.
Appearing at the Golden Globes, Chu says “I haven’t really started anything fully yet, but she will be very involved in this. I have ideas and things, an approach, but it’s very early.” He adds Spears herself is “going to be very involved”. [Source: ET Online]
Rebel Moon VR
A VR game title based on Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon” films is in the works at Netflix and being released by Sandbox VR. In “Rebel Moon: The Descent,” players can “gear up with their fellow rebels for battle against the ruthless forces of the Motherworld’s military.” [Source: Variety]
Heart Eyes
Spyglass Media Group has released the trailer for the Valentine’s Day-themed slasher film “Heart Eyes” opening in cinemas February 7th through Sony Pictures. Josh Ruben (“Werewolves Within”) directs from a script by Christopher Landon, Michael Kennedy, and Phillip Murphy.
In the film, the Heart Eyes Killer has wreaked havoc on Valentine’s Day by stalking and murdering romantic couples over the past few years. This Valentine’s Day, no couple is safe. Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Michaela Watkins, Devon Sawa and Jordana Brewster co-star.
PlayStation Portal
Sony has announced a Midnight Black Collection of PlayStation 5 accessories including black versions of the PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, Pulse Elite wireless headphones and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. The Midnight Black collection will be released on February 20th with pre-orders starting on January 16th.
