“Uncharted” and “The Last of Us” developers Naughty Dog unveiled their upcoming “Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet” video game at the Game Awards last month with the first trailer.

In the weeks since, there’s been plenty of discussion about the game including the trailer on YouTube which has pulled in 1.7 million views but has seen 70,000 likes to 174,000 dislikes.

That is not unexpected after “The Last of Us Part II,” though scoring much acclaim and beloved by parts of fandom, proved a more divisive title for the developer than the previous entry.

That 2020 game came up again this week as Kanye West of all people saying that it was: “By faaaaaaarrrr the best game ever made so far. This is not a sponsored post.”

It also seems some of the tone of the game will be added to “Intergalactic” as Reddit user Jasonvsfreddyvs (via ComicBook.com) has compiled a breakdown of rumors on the title and found at least two of the hires for the game have indicated that horror elements, including cyberpunk horror, will be incorporated into the sci-fi action-adventure.

The game sees Tati Gabrielle (“Sabrina,” “Uncharted”) playing a bounty hunter in space who is tracking down members of her old crew, with at least one on the planet Sempiria that no-one has made it away from in centuries.

The game has been in the works for years but there’s no indication as to how long it will be before we see it on sale.
