A promotional video briefly uploaded to Netflix Korea’s YouTube channel appears to have let slip a potential release date for the third season of its smash hit series “Squid Game”.
Hollywood Handle and Forbes captured details from the video which reportedly indicated that the third run of the Netflix’s biggest series is aiming for a global release on June 27th.
Said video was quickly removed but, as fans know, once its online that sort of information is hard to take down again. That said, Netflix still has yet to announce an official date and so the release is subject to change.
Previously, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk indicated that the new season was headed for a potential Summer 2025 release and says he expects an announcement to be made soon.
The run is expected to serve as a conclusion for the series and to wrap up storylines left dangling by the second season cliffhanger as the second and third season were initially conceived as one giant piece.
The show’s current second season is currently streaming.
