Acotr Armie Hammer says his career is picking up steam again three years after his industry ‘exile’ in the wake of sexual assault allegations in 2021.
Hammer appeared on a recent episode of Christina Pazsitzy and Tom Segura’s podcast Your Mom’s House and says things are changing for him on the acting front:
“The worm is turning, it takes time. It’s slow, but generally now the conversation when my name comes up with people in the industry is, ‘Man, that guy got f—–.’ And that feels really good. It’s really encouraging.”
Hammer returned to features recently shooting the western movie “Frontier Crucible” co-starring Thomas Jane and William H. Macy. He has two more movies on the way – one to film in Croatia tihs month and another in the Philippines in spring.
He also says there’s a potential TV show in the works, and has been turning jobs down:
“My dance card’s getting pretty full. That first job that I turned down after four years of this s—, I mean, it was the best feeling I’ve ever had.”
Following a lengthy LAPD investigation into the allegations, no charges were filed. Hammer recently started a podcast which he says allows him to have “uncomfortable conversations” and tell his tory “on my terms, and I’m doing it authentically as myself”.
