Some brief logistics rumors on two announced DC Studios film projects have emerged from scooper MyTimeToShineH today (via CBM).

First up, the Mike Flanagan-penned “Clayface” film which arrives in cinemas in September 2026. As of today, no director or star has been announced for the project.

The scooper indicates that a director is expected to be chosen within the next two weeks with shooting potentially kicking off as soon as February – a very quick start if true.

The script is ready to go and the film is said to be a relatively low-budget one with a good chunk of its spending going on visual effects to realise the character.

They also indicate that actor Jason Momoa’s role in Lobo in “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is only filming for a few weeks on the movie so his role is “not a cameo, but not a big role either”.

The project is expected to only be an introduction for both Supergirl and Lobo with both characters showing up in future movies. Momoa has reportedly been keen to take on the role of Lobo for around a decade – even before he was cast as Aquaman.

“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” will be helmed by “Cruella” director Craig Gillespie with Ana Nogueira penning the screenplay.

Finally, the scooper is also claiming the current plan is for Ghost Rider is to be a Disney+ TV series – not introduced in a film. They previously suggested a “Agents of Atlas” TV series was also in the works.
