The Netflix is daredevil was widely well received by the fan base, of its three seasons the show’s second is generally considered the worst.

Whereas the first and third had single overarching arcs, the second season was three mini-arcs that stared strong with several episodes focused on Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher.

Then it moved to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and villains The Hand and lost focus with criticism over its storyline and handling of the iconic comic character. She was killed but then resurrected for “The Defenders” series – only to seemingly be killed again when a building collapsed on her.

Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock escaped the destruction, and Elektra’s body was never found so it’s possible for her to return in some way.

According to scooper BeyondReporter (via CBM), Yung is rumored to have filmed some scenes for the upcoming “Daredevil: Born Again” series for the Disney+ service.

They suggest she makes a cameo, “possibly Episode 6 or 7,” but also suggest those scenes were done before the retooling of the show took place – meaning those scenes aren’t necessarily going to remain.

The rumor comes as the first trailer for the series is expected to hit very early into the new year. Brief glimpses of footage has been seen in a Disney sizzle reel, but an actual trailer for the show has yet to officially go online.

“Daredevil: Born Again” premieres on Disney+ on March 4th 2025.
