Apple TV+ has announced they’re ringing in the New Year with something interesting – the streaming service will be available for free to anyone and everyone on any device where Apple TV+ is available.

All that’s required to access it will be a standard no-cost Apple ID account. The promotion will run for the first weekend of 2025 – January 4th & 5th according to their social media account. The official press release however suggests Friday, January 3rd is also involved.

The aim is obviously to draw in new subscribers to their offerings. Apple has made a name for itself in recent years for the quality of their streaming originals and has consistently been building up a now quite robust and well-curated library that avoids the glut that plagues many other streamers.

Acclaimed series include “Silo,” “Slow Horses,” “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “Shrinking,” “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” “Pachinko,” “Bad Monkey,” “Masters of the Air,” “Hijack,” “Dark Matter,” “Presumed Innocent,” “The New Look,” “The Morning Show,” “Foundation,” “Sugar,” “Franklin,” “Palm Royale,” “Physical,” “The Crowded Room,” “For All Mankind,” “The Last Thing He Told Me,” “Disclaimer,” and more.

There’s also an increasing line-up of films including “Blitz,” “Wolfs,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Argylle,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Napoleon,” “Ghosted,” “Spirited,” “CODA,” “Finch,” “Swan Song,” “The Tragedy of Macbeth,” “Causeway,” “The Greatest Bear Run Ever” and “Greyhound”.

The Apple TV+ service is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions and on over 1 billion screens including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, Mac; smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL and others; Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles, and at tv.apple.com.

This weekend, see for yourself.
