Next summer….it begins as Warner Bros. Pictures releases the official teaser trailer for the upcoming superhero movie reimagining with the film Superman. View trailer below.
Follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way in a world that views this as old-fashioned.
Oh wow….I have to admit that I am kind of interested in seeing this now. Like many out there, I did really like Henry Cavill’s performance as Clark Kent / Superman and was really sad that he (along with the rest of the DCEU) were going to scrapped, with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recreating a new cinematic universe for DC Comics, with Superman (original titled Superman Legacy) set to be the first film of his planned DCU saga called Chapter 1: Gods & Monsters. From the preview alone, it certainly does look quite exciting with a lot of footage shown to “tease” us for the upcoming feature. Perhaps my only criticism is the whole introduction of a slew of other DC superheroes in this project, with 2022’s Black Adam showcasing that such a feat of overstuff a superhero film with too many characters. Beyond that, I am excited to see what Gunn does within the DC arena and what he presents with the iconic “man of steel”.
