A couple of key release date announcements have come through.
First up, Jack Black and Paul Rudd took to X to announce a Christmas Day 2025 release date for “Anaconda” which will star the pair of them along with Daniela Melchoir.
At last report, the film is a new take with the same snake from the 1997 horror film front and center, but with a story that leans more toward comedy.
Next, A24 has indicated Josh Safdie’s ping pong movie “Marty Supreme” has also set a Christmas Day 2025 release date.
Timothee Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler the Creator and Fran Drescher star in the film about iconoclastic ping-pong player Marty Reisman and is said to be a “cross between Wolf of Wall Street and Catch Me If You Can”.
Finally, “Krisha,” “It Comes at night” and “Waves” director Trey Edwards Shults’ new film “Hurry Up Tomorrow” has reportedly set a May 16th 2025 release date.
The project stars Abel Tesfaye (aka. The Weeknd), Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan in what’s dubbed a psychological thriller based on The Weeknd’s sixth studio album of the same name hitting in January.
