The series finale of Paramount Network’s neo-Western drama series “Yellowstone” drew 11.4 million viewers on Sunday night alone (not including encores) via Paramount Network and CMT.
The news comes via VideoAmp data released by Paramount. The company claims that makes it the most-watched episode in the series to date. The finale aired on Paramount Network and CMT.
Nielsen data for Sunday night is not currently available as the contract between the two companies (Nielsen and Paramount Global) expired.
The series has always been a ratings juggernaut for Paramount Network, as seen by the Costner-less season premiere having attracted 16.4 million viewers across Paramount Network, CBS, and various other Paramount-owned cable networks along with encores.
The finale saw another major character death and set up the long-rumored spinoff series focused on Rip (Cole Hauser) and Beth (Kelly Reilly).
The ratings come as Taylor Sheridan’s spin-off prequel series “1923” returns early next year with its second season.
