The first trailer for James Gunn’s “Superman” arrives on Thursday and now Gunn himself has confirmed a specific launch time and even a countdown clock.
SupermanMovie.net includes a timed countdown to the trailer which will launch at approximately 6am US-PT, 9am US-ET, 2pm UK-GMT, and 1am Friday Australian EST.
Quotes from Gunn about the film have gone online today, the quotes taken during set interviews earlier this year that are only being released now. He tells Comicbook.com that the film will start with the world having existed for some time already:
“We just start in the middle of the action. Superman already exists. Lois and Clark already know each other. Lex hates Superman’s guts from the beginning, although they don’t know each other personally. So we start right in the middle of the action. It takes place over a short amount of time.”
Music wise, composer John Murphy is incorporating nods to John Williams original iconic music but otherwise is an original score. Unlike the “Guardians” films, it won’t be driven by existing music either:
“It is a score, not a soundtrack. So, it’s not about the songs. There’s a few songs in it, and of course I chose those songs beforehand, but it isn’t like any of my previous movies, really … The score is what drives it. It’s a much, much more of a score film.”
“Superman” is set to fly into cinemas on July 11th 2025.
