One Piece
Filming has reportedly wrapping up in Cape Town on the second season of Netflix’s live-action “One Piece” series with stunt people on the production posting their wrap party celebrations. The new run began filming in June and appears to be right on schedule for a late 2025 release.

The new season is expected to cover the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs and is rumored to clock in at one episode shorter (seven in all) – but as a trade off the Arasbasta Arc will get more time to shine in a third season. [Source: PewPiece]

Messi and the Giants
Lionel Messi’s animated kids series “Messi and the Giants” has been acquired by Disney Branded Television with plans to premiere on the Disney Channel and stream globally on Disney+ at an unspecified date.

The action-adventure series is produced by Sony Music Vision and Sony Pictures Television – Kids and follows Leo, an ordinary 12-year-old boy with an extraordinary talent and a huge problem.

He has been transported to another world, the once-thriving planet of Iko, to lead the fight against the tyrannical giants who have kept the ten realms under their control. [Source: Variety]

Hulu has acquired all seven seasons of beloved drama “Gilmore Girls” with all 153 episodes of the show’s original run available to watch now. Hulu has also curated a ‘holiday episodes’ tab on the show’s page showcasing the show’s nine most festive installments. [Source: TV Line]

Astérix and Obélix: The Big Fight
Netflix has released the official trailer for its period fantasy animated series “Astérix and Obélix: The Big Fight” which will debut in Spring 2025. In the series, Rome is desperate to conquer the last independent village in Gaul and the home of Asterix and Obelix.

The secret to the Gauls’ battle superiority is a magic potion, but when the potion master loses his memory, the villagers are left to their own devices against the might of Rome.

Dune: Prophecy
Max has premiered the season finale trailer for its sci-fi prequel series “Dune: Prophecy” with Valya (Emily Watson) prepares for a fight against Desmond (Travis Fimmel) to bring the Sisterhood back to power.

However, the Emperor’s soldiers attack and even the Mother Superior is forced to fight. The final episode goes to air on December 22nd.
