HBO has locked down a February 16th premiere date for the third season of Mike White’s acclaimed adult drama “The White Lotus”. The Thailand-set season has also released its first trailer which can be seen below.
Whereas the first season of the social satire has a theme of money and the second one of sex, the third is said to be more about spirituality – but will be as darkly funny as always.
Unfolding at an exclusive Thai resort over the span of a week, the new run follows the exploits of various guests and employees.
Natasha Rothwell returns as former Hawaii spa manager Belinda Lindsey and is joined by the likes of Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, and Patrick Schwarzenegger among others.
The series is created, written, and directed by White and is executive produced by White, David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
The new run will sport eight episodes, the longest to date for the series. Episodes will release starting Feb. 16 at 9 pm on HBO and will be available to stream on Max around the same time. New episodes will run through to early April.
