Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the first motion poster for James Gunn’s “Superman,” the moving one-sheet coming alongside a clip confirming that the film’s first trailer will launch on Thursday.
That trailer is being shown off to press shortly and so descriptions and further details are expected soon. The motion poster clip uses a new version of John Williams’ “Superman” score.
The new film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
“Superman” stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/The Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.
Filming on the movie wrapped in July with the project having to do only a ay-and-a-half of pickup shots. Gunn has been able to direct several episodes of the second season of “Peacemaker” in the wake of that wrap.
“Superman” will open in cinemas on July 11th 2025.
