Captain America: Brave New World
Harrison Ford says transforming into Red Hulk in “Captain America: Brave New World” was “just another day at the office” for him. He says “I tried to understand the ambition of the filmmakers, and to be useful to them… it didn’t seem to me to be a terribly difficult acting proposition.” The result, as director Julius Onah says, was “a Hulk that is just f—- breaking s—, and a rage monster”. Filming has reportedly wrapped on the “Peaky Blinders” movie with several crew members posting on social media to celebrate the end of filming. Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, and Stephen Graham star in the film which continues on from the end of the TV series. [Source: NetflixJunkie]
The Night Agent
David Lyons (“ER”), Jennifer Morrison (“House”), Stephen Moyer (“True Blood”), Genesis Rodriguez (“Lioness”), and Callum Vinson (“Chucky”) have all scored series regular roles in the third season of Netflix spy thriller “The Night Agent”.
Additionally Suraj Sharma has a recurring role. Character details are being kept under wraps with the third season now in production in Istanbul before heading to New York to continue filming in 2025. The second season will premiere on January 23rd. [Source: Variety]
Wolf Man
Universal Pictures has released a new featurette for Leigh Whannell’s “Wolf Man” film – offering a glimpse of this reboot of the classic 1941 movie which will open in cinemas January 17th.
In the video, Whannell talks about the modern remake’s themes of isolation, dread, and anxiety and how body horror classics like John Carpenter’s “The Thing” and David Cronenberg’s “The Fly” were key to this.
Warfare
A24 has released the first poster for Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland’s “Warfare” ahead of the film’s first trailer arriving on Monday. Mendoza served as the military supervisor on Garland’s “Civil War” film this year which A24 released.
Charles Melton, Joseph Quinn, Kit Connor, Cosmo Jarvis, Will Poulter, Finn Bennett, Noah Centineo, Taylor John Smith, Adain Bradley, Michael Gandolfini, Henrique Zaga, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai and Evan Holtzman star in the film with plot details under wraps.
