More major game trailers have been shown off at this year’s Game Awards.

First up, Gearbox Software has unveiled the trailer for “Borderlands 4,” the first mainline entry in the franchise in five years which refocuses things after spin-offs “Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands” and “Telltale’s “Tales from the Borderlands” as well as the disastrous film adaptation.

Also the first game under the developer’s new publisher Take-Two Interactive, this first trailer for the title combines cinematics, gameplay, and comedy for a franchise that does seem to be a bit long in the tooth at this point.

More interesting was a trailer for a sequel to Obsidian Entertainment’s 2019 feature “The Outer Worlds” with the trailer promising “more action, more weapons, and more… graphics?”. The clip also shows off cityscapes, along with icy and jungle environments.

Finally came “It Takes Two” developer Hazelight Studios’ new game “Split Fiction” which had a reveal trailer. The co-op action-adventure will arrive March 6th.

That follows two contrasting writers who become trapped in their own stories after being hooked up to a machine designed to steal their creative ideas. To escape with their minds intact, they’ll need to overcome their differences to crash the system that holds them.

All these games will be coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox in 2025.
