Vincent Regan, who plays Marine Vice Admiral Garp in the live-action “One Piece” TV series, says a third season of the series is gearing up to go into production sooner rather than later.

The series has been in production on its second season in South Africa over the past few months ahead of an expected streaming release of that second run in the back half of 2025.

As previously indicated, the series has opted to split the Arabasta Saga with the Arabasta Arc itself being held until the third season. As such, it was expected that the streamer would get moving on a third run sooner rather than later (a third season renewal hasn’t been announced yet).

Appearing at the Vienna Comic-Con recently, Regan spoke about when we can expect the new episodes:

“I’ve come back from South Africa now. I’ve filmed season 2, everything my character is doing in season 2 is finished, and now they are finishing in about a month, I think they’ll finish filming. So I think the show will be ready for Netflix before Christmas next year. I hope.

I guess they’ll start filming Season 3 pretty soon, and I think they are doing — I think it’s called the [Arabasta] story arc. I think it’s going to take two seasons. What I’ve seen of the designs, drawings, and when I was there there was some really fun stuff being shot there at the moment.”

Other cast members who will return include Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, Jeff Ward as Buggy, Regan as Garp, Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida and Michael Dorman as Gol D. Roger.

They will be joined by Joe Manganiello as Crocodile, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3., Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, and more.
