The Life of Chuck
NEON will reportedly release Mike Flanagan’s “The Life of Chuck,” winner of the coveted TIFF People’s Choice Award, in cinemas on May 30th 2025. Tom Hiddleston stars in the film which is told in reverse order, from the end of a man’s life to the beginning. The work is based on Stephen King’s short story anthology book “If It Bleeds”. Scream 7
Celeste O’Connor (“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”) has joined the cast of the seventh “Scream” film, specifics of her role and the film’s overall story are under wraps. She’ll join returnee Neve Campbell returning as Sidney Prescott as well as Isabel May playing her daughter. “Scream 7” will release in cinemas on February 27th 2026. [Source: Deadline]
Smile 2
Paramount Pictures has officially announced that “Smile 2” will be released via the Paramount+ streaming service from tomorrow (December 3rd). The Naomi Scott-led supernatural horror sequel earned a worldwide gross of over $137 million at the box office during its run, and with better reviews than the original. [Source: Variety]
Thanksgiving 2
Filmmaker Eli Roth has revealed that a sequel to his hit slasher film “Thanksgiving” is currently in ‘soft prep’ ahead of filming in March next year and release late 2025. Roth and screenwriter Jeff Rendell return for the sequel with Roth directing once again with a budget said to be on par with the $15 million of the original film which grossed $40 million.
