The second season of Netflix’s smash hit series “Wednesday” has reportedly just wrapped filming in Ireland.
All eight episodes of the show’s first season were released globally on Netflix on November 23rd 2022 and the series quickly became Netflix’s most-watched English-language series – along with snagging four Emmy wins from twelve nominations.
A renewal was quickly handed out in early 2023 but the strikes delayed production, as did a shift of locale from Romania from the first season to Ireland for the second.
Filming finally began in May and has been running for six months with various cast wrapping their scenes earlier this month and the overall production finishing up on Friday.
The first season was released on the streamer approximately eight months after filming wrapped, which would suggest the new season will target a late Summer or early Fall debut.
Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Noah Taylor, Evie Templeton, Joanna Lumley, Thandwie Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Christopher Lloyd and Lady Gaga co-star.
