Filming has officially wrapped on Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”. Multiple outlets, including the F4 Updates account, have confirmed the news.

Filming began in late July at Pinewood Studios in London with some additional filming taking place in Oviedo, Spain. Production seems to have gone fairly smoothly with the shoot complete in just four months.

As its Marvel, no doubt some additional photography will take place early next year ahead of the film’s July 2025 release.

The story unfolds in a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic Earth where the Fantastic Four are seemingly Earth’s only heroes. They must protect their home from being devoured by the cosmic being Galactus and his enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer, with rumors suggesting Galactus has a fixation on Reed & Sue’s child.

The film’s cast includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich and Natasha Lyonne.

Additionally it’s expected Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will make an appearance in a possible post-credits scene. The film opens July 25th 2025.
