With Disney and Marvel Studios hoping to get some awards love for their R-rated action-comedy “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the film’s official script has been released on the studio’s FYC online portal.
Ahead of the film opening, star Ryan Reynolds indicated there was one joke they had to leave out of the film at Disney’s request. After skimming the script, eagled-eyed fans have seemingly discovered what that joke is.
SPOILERS AHEAD
The moment reportedly takes place after Deadpool learns that Magneto is already dead, and angrily breaks the fourth wall shouting: “F—! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse c–k in my throat.”
The film’s director Shawn Levy previously told EW it was the only line they were asked to change and they replaced it with “an equally dirty line of dialogue about Pinocchio” involving his nose and Deadpool’s backside.
Levy added: “I was like, ‘Ryan, that’s your replacement line in response to, ‘Can we clean it up?’ That’s Ryan Reynolds for you, audacious to the very edge.”
“Deadpool & Wolverine” is now available to stream on the Disney+ service.
