Netflix and author Harlan Coben have set yet another limited series following their fruitful collaborations together.
The streamer has handed out a green light for a work based on Coben’s novel “I Will Find You”. The project falls under the overall deal Netflix signed with the best-selling author back in 2018.
Robert Hull (“Quantum Leap”) is co-creating the series with Coben and will serve as showrunner on what will be the first U.S.-based series based on one of Coben’s books.
The eight-episode “I Will Find You” series centers on an innocent father serving life for the murder of his own son receives evidence that his child may still be alive – and must break out of prison to find out the truth.
Netflix’s VP of North American scripted series, Peter Friedlander, says in a statement:
“Harlan’s gripping stories are beloved around the world and have consistently captivated fans with their trademark twists and turns, dramatic cliffhangers, and compelling mysteries. There is no one like Harlan and his first U.S. scripted series with Netflix will be no exception. We know he and Robby will deliver the same thrilling experience that audiences have come to expect and which sets it apart as a must-watch event.”
It joins multiple adaptations of Coben’s novels over the years including “Stay Close,” “Gone for Good,” “Hold Tight,” “The Woods,” “The Stranger” and this year’s smash hit “Fool Me Once”.
An adaptation of Coben’s “Missing You” premieres January 1st, while adaptations of “Caught” and “Run Away” are in the works. Hull and Coben will executive produce with Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien and John Weber.
