Laz Alonso, who plays Mother’s Milk on Amazon Prime’s superhero dark comedy action series “The Boys,” has confirmed that production is about to get underway on the fifth and final season of the series.
He and his co-stars, including the likes of Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, Antony Starr, Nathan Mitchell and Colby Minifie can all be glimpsed in the photo having a meal with the caption “And just like that….. we’re back!”.
Filming on the new season will reportedly get underway this coming week and run through well into next year ahead of airing sometime in 2026. Before that we’ll be getting the second season of “Gen V” which has already been shot and will release on the streamer in 2025.
Also on the way are spin-off shows including prequel series “Vought Rising” and “The Boys: Mexico”. Showrunner Eric Kripke expressed concern a few weeks ago that all these spinoffs may cause the franchise to become what it is parodying.
The fourth season ended with a Homelander loyalist installed as President of the United States and many of the Boys going to prison and Billy Butcher on the run with a metahuman virus that could kill everyone on Earth with powers.
