Robert Pattinson will re-team with his “Tenet” director Christopher Nolan for the filmmaker’s next feature film which will shoot early next year.

Pattinson joins an increasingly stacked cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya. Nolan wrote the script and is directing the project, but plot specifics are under wraps.

Various theories have been floated ranging from a period vampire tale to a reimagining of “The Prisoner” to a “Blue Thunder”-inspired LA helicopter cops story, but sources for THR say “nothing has come close to nailing Nolan’s real idea”.

The trade adds that Damon, Holland, Hathaway and now Pattinson make up the core leading characters of the feature with Nyong’o and Zendaya in supporting roles.

Nolan is producing alongside his partner and wife Emma Thomas. Universal Pictures is set to release the mysterious film in cinemas on July 17th 2026.

Pattinson is still slated to film “The Batman Part II” next year ahead of an October 2026 release, but no schedule is reportedly yet set for the film.
