Moving
South Korean sci-fi superhero drama “Moving” has been renewed for a second season by Disney. The first season, which released on Hulu, scored numerous awards in Korea and also broke viewership records internationally.
The series follows three students who have superpowers passed onto them by their parents. As these students try to adapt to these powers, their parents put their all into protecting them from government organizations that want to exploit these gifts. [Source: Deadline]
Release Dates
Paramount has tweaked the dates of two platform releases it has out this holiday season. First, the Robbie Williams biopic “Better Man” has moved up its wide release by a week to January 10th – that release following a limited opening at Christmas.
Next, the 1972 Munich Olympic hostage crisis drama “September 5” has been pushed back and will now get a limited release on December 13th before going wide on January 17th. [Source: Paramount Pictures]
Stitches
Ella Rumpf, Louis Garrel, Anyier Anei, Garace Marillier, and Finnegan Oldfield will join Angelina Jolie in the film “Stitches”. Set in the world of high fashion, the story involves three women whose lives will collide during Fashion Week in Paris.
Jolie plays Maxine, a woman who arrives in the city of lights and ends up going on a journey. Filming expected to begin next year and the movie will be shot in both French and English. Alice Winocour directs. [Source: Variety]
Untitled J.J. Abrams Film
Samuel L. Jackson is in negotiations for a key role in J.J. Abrams’ untitled next feature at Warner Bros. Pictures. He joins Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, and Emma Mackey who have taken the three lead roles in the film. Abrams wrote the script for the feature which is expected to shoot in the spring in the UK.
