Pixar has released the official trailer for its “Inside Out” spin-off series “Dream Productions” which launches December 11th on the Disney+ service.
Written and directed by Mike Jones, the four-episode mini-series unfolds between the first two films. A mockumentary office comedy, the story unfolds within the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true – every night, on time and on budget.
Riley is growing up and when her memories need some extra processing, Joy and the rest of the Core Emotions send them to Dream Productions.
It’s there that acclaimed director Paula Persimmon faces a nightmare of her own: Trying to create the next hit dream after being paired up with Xeni, a smug daydream director looking to step up into the big leagues of night dreams.
The trailer showcases the colorful characters and executives at the studio along with the absolute chaos that goes into productions. Paula Pell, Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith all lend their voices.
