Disney and Lucasfilm have renewed their animated anthology series “Star Wars: Visions” for a third season in 2025.

After the second season saw multiple countries contributing episodes, the new one will return entirely to Japan like the first season.

The list of animation studios producing episodes for the third run include David Production, Production I.G., Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Kamikaze Douga + Anima, Wit Studio, Polygon Pictures and Project Studio Q. Several of these produced episodes for the first season.

Nine new non-canon animated shorts from anime studios will be produced in the country, the shorts featuring different animation styles and without restrictions.

Both previous seasons scored rave reviews with 81 & 88 scores on Metacritic respectively. The news was announced on the first day of Disney’s two-day Content Showcase event in Singapore.

The first season of ‘Visions’ released September 2021, the second in May 2023 and third is on track for release sometime in 2025.
