Unsurprisingly, Marvel Studios’ “Deadpool & Wolverine” had a strong start on the Disney+ streaming service when it launched November 12th.
Per the studio, the film pulled in 19.4 million views globally (a view is defined as total stream time divided by runtime) after six days.
That makes it the most-watched live action film across Disney+ or Hulu since the streaming release of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in early 2023.
But it falls behind Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” which pulled 30.5 million views in its first five days on the Disney+ service.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” was a major financial success, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide against a reported budget of $200 million.
It became the 20th-highest-grossing film of all time, the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time and the second-highest-grossing film of 2024.
