We’re about to get a bunch of new “Star Wars” content in a short timespan with “Skeleton Crew” dropping in December followed by the second season of “Andor” in April 2025.
But after that? Things are going quiet for a good year as no other live-action series are in the can. Things will pick up in 2026 when “The Mandalorian and Grogu” film releases in May.
That won’t be the only one though. Earlier this year came confirmation a second season of “Ahsoka” is going forward and with actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo previously indicating a rough Summer 2025 start of filming date.
Today, scooper Daniel Richtman says Disney and Lucasfilm have a set an April 2025 start date for filming on “Ahsoka” in the United Kingdom.
If that holds, that also gives us a rough idea of a release date – the first season began filming May 2022 ahead of an August 2023 premiere – so a Q3 2026 run for the second season of “Ahsoka” seems likely – a full three years after the first season aired.
It also sets the show’s release for after “The Mandalorian and Grogu” film so events in that movie might have an impact in what we see in “Ahsoka” as both are set in the same time period.
The full first season of “Ahsoka” is currently available on the Disney+ service.
