Doctor Odyssey
Disney has announced that after 35 days of viewing on ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms (and excluding encores), “Doctor Odyssey” has pulled in a total cross-platform audience to date of 16.5 million for its series premiere – four times that of its Live+Same Day audience of 4.13 million. Ponies
Haley Lu Richardson will join Emilia Clarke in a series regular role as a fearless small-town girl in Peacock’s series “PONIES”. Set in Moscow in 1977, the series follows two women who work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy.
When their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, and the pair become CIA operatives. Together they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place. Susanna Fogel, David Iserson and Mike Daniels executive produce. Mythic Quest
Apple TV+ has set a January 29th launch date for the fourth season of its workplace comedy series “Mythic Quest,” and confirmed a spin-off titled “Side Quest” is on the way.
Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney created the series that centers on the team behind the fictional video game studio that created a successful MMORPG. One new episode will be released weekly through March 26th. [Source: Apple TV+]
Kansas City Star
Kaley Cuoco (“The Flight Attendant”) will star in the new HBO half-hour comedy series “Kansas City Star” which hails from “Hacks” creators Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, and Jen Statsky. Cuoco plays a semi-famous actress who returns to her hometown to work with a regional theater troupe.
Cuoco is currently starring in Peacock’s “Based on a True Story” with a second season returning next week. Cuoco also voices the lead in Max’s “Harley Quinn” animated series. Warner Bros. Television will produce. [Source: Deadline]
Family Guy
Hulu has premiered a trailer for a new “Family Guy” Holiday Special, the 25th edition of the long-running Christmas-themed episode of the hit comedy franchise. It begins streaming on Hulu on November 25th.
In the special, Peter must recover Lois’ Christmas brooch after gifting it away in a White Elephant exchange. Stewie changes his attitude upon learning he’s on Santa’s ‘Naughty List’.
