Marvel Studios has premiered the second trailer for their first 2025 film entry – “Captain America: Brave New World” – following its premiere at the D23 Brazil convention.
The project marks the fourth film in the “Captain America” series, and the first to see Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson taking over the mantle from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers.
It also serves as a continuation of the television miniseries “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. Ford takes over the role of Thunderbolt Ross from the late William Hurt in the film who is now the U.S. President.
Directed by Julius Onah, who co-wrote the script with Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson, the film also stars Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Shira Haas, Giancarlo Esposito and Harrison Ford.
“The Incredible Hulk” stars Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler will also be reprising their roles as Marvel villain Samuel Sterns/Leader and Betty Ross, 15 years after the Edward Norton-led film’s theatrical debut.
“Captain America: Brave New World” is scheduled to be released in cinemas Valentine’s Day 2025.
