The first photos are out from the Jack Black-led Christmas comedy “Dear Santa” which will be directed by Bobby Farrelly. Bobby’s brother Peter wrote the screenplay alongside Ricky Blitt.

Robert Timothy Smith plays a young man who still believes in Santa. To prove to all of his disbelieving friends that Santa is real, he writes a letter to Santa inviting him to show himself.

The problem? Liam isn’t a very good speller and addresses the letter to Satan (Jack Black) instead. Satan, who never gets letters from kids, is flattered and goes to meet Liam. Chaos and hilarity ensue.

Keegan-Michael Key, and Post Malone co-star in the film. Speaking with EW, Bobby Farrelly says:

“We never wanted to make it a horror movie or something like that. We wanted it to be comical. So it was a delicate ball of playing this iconic character but doing it in a way that the audience can have some fun with it. And Jack was the perfect guy.”

“Dear Santa” will premiere on the Paramount+ service on November 25th with the first trailer launching online tomorrow.
