In the wake of Sunday night’s ‘Book of Carol’ finale, AMC has premiered the teaser trailer for the upcoming third season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”.

The new season will see Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier set to continue a European journey with Spain their big port of call. As the trailer shows, once they get there they’re going to find some real challenges.

It’s an interesting shift considering the finale seemingly had them headed in the opposite direction – towards the UK.

Production on the new season has been underway in Spain since July with filming in the Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia and Valencia regions. It follows on from the first two seasons which were primarily shot in France.

With the shifting locale, showrunner David Zabel has indicated that story and cinematography changes are coming too while there is reportedly a long-term plan in place should the series continue for more seasons.

Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada and Alexandra Masangkay join as series regulars in season three which is expected to debut in 2025.
